The Greenfield Christian Church is hosting its seventh annual community luau on July 29.
The event is scheduled from 5-7 p.m. at the church, located at 23 N. East Street. In addition to an ice cream social and barbecue dinner, the church will also be collecting school items for the Backpack Attack program. Local school supply lists will be available at Walmart and Kroger.
The menu for the dinner includes a pulled pork dinner with baked beans, chips, drinks and ice cream. A DJ will be on hand for entertainment, as well as a classic car cruise-in, an inflatable bounce house, water balloon launcher, face painting and other children’s activities.
Representatives of the Greenfield police and fire departments will be on hand to show their vehicles and equipment.
The event is free, though a free-will offering will be accepted.
