Sandra Mae (Hewitt) Mooney passed away peacefully at the age of 80 on July 11, 2018 at her home in New Palestine, IN. Sandra was born April 19, 1938 in Greenfield, MA, to Joseph Hewitt and Maude (Burke) Hewitt. After completing her education, she later met and married her husband, James “Jim” Mooney Jr., and they have been happily married and by each other’s side for almost 55 years. She was a loving wife, devoted mother and kind and generous to all. Sandra leaves behind her husband, James “Jim” E. Mooney Jr; son, David J. Mooney; sister-in-law, Sandra M. Owen of Moscow, ID; niece, Heather Owen of Red Wood City, CA; and nephew, Andrew (Drew) Owen of Boise, ID.
Preceding her in death is her mother, Maude (Burke) Hewitt; her father, Joseph Hewitt; sister, Norma J. Hewitt; as well as her brother, Joseph Hewitt, all who lived in Brookline, MA. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, July 17, 2018, at 6:30 PM at Hendryx Mortuary, Cumberland Chapel, 11636 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN, 46229. Friends may visit from 5:00 until the time of service at the mortuary.
