GREENFIELD — Two grandmothers were arrested Monday night after a dispute ended in gunfire, police said.

The incident happened in Greenfield’s Riley Park, near the Old Log Jail Museum, 28 N. Main St., around 6:15 p.m. Monday.

The incident began as a argument about child visitation. It became physical and a gun was fired, police said.

Cristy Horton, 45, of Monticello, and Tammy Brickles, 47, of Greenfield were arrested.

The women were described by police as the grandmothers of the children involved.

No other details were immediately available.

No one was injured by the gunfire; but one man, 26-year-old Jonathan Brickles, received a cut to the hand in a struggle for the gun, police said.
