New Palestine grads earn college honors
Casey Lehman and Issy Hoyt, both 2016 New Palestine graduates and former Lady Dragon standouts, continue to gain honors on the softball field in their college careers.
Lehman just completed her sophomore year as the catcher for the Huntington University Foresters. She earned Crossroads League First Team All-Conference both years, along with a conference Gold Glove selection and NAIA All-Region this year.
Hoyt also earned First Team All-Conference and All-Region in her inaugural campaign with the Marian Knights after transferring from Purdue. She played third base and was instrumental in Marian being the Crossroads League regular season champs and competing in the NAIA World Series in Florida.
