GREENFIELD — The local Elks lodge hosts a monthly veterans support event known as Stand Down 18 at Lodge No. 1720, 820 S. State St., Greenfield.
Greenfield Elks 1720 Stand Down 18 will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday. Veterans will have the opportunity for computer training/assistance on E-Benefits and My Health, both Veterans Administration websites.
There will be a VA-certified attorney available for legal questions and guidance. Hancock County Veterans Service Officer Bob Workman will be available to discuss veterans’ benefits. There will be a DAV Representative for further assistance.
The Elks are committed to serve all veterans, and they open their lodge the second Saturday of each month as a casual gathering place.
