With the second- and third-place finishes, the Marauders and Dragons both advance as a team. Joining them as individuals will be Greenfield-Central’s Kyle Arrowood and Noah Mohler, who shot 77 and 81 respectively.

New Castle’s Spencer Stewart was medalist with a 76, one stroke ahead of Arrowood. Mt. Vernon’s Max Heitman tied for third with a 79.

Following Heitman for the Marauders were Xavier Dunham with an 80, John Husar with an 82, Sam McWilliams with an 89 and Elijah Dunham with a 90.

“Great performance out of senior Max Heitman, especially given his front nine score of 42. To grind out a 79 was big,” Mt. Vernon coach Tyler Wilson said. “We’ve seen The Players Club several times over the last couple seasons, so we’re really looking forward to surprising some folks on Thursday for sure. The boys are still confident they can put up some solid numbers at TPC after ‘surviving’ sectional today.”

New Palestine was led by Matt Kelley’s 80. He was followed by Elijah Domogala’s 81. Quinn Dobbins and Chris Guhl each shot an 85, and Josh Shinkle shot an 86.

Finishing behind Arrowood and Mohler for the Cougars were Bradley Stine with a 90 and Zachary Archer and Canyen Palmer each shot a 91.

Eastern Hancock’s Loren Matlock shot a 96. Also scoring for the Royals were Gage Deiser with a 101, Kenneth Smoak with a 107, Nick Pelger with a 125 and Clayton Cochard with a 126.
