Rummage sale to benefit missions

McCORDSVILLE — The Presbyterian Women of Christ Presbyterian Church have been cleaning up and clearing out their closets, basements, garages and attics in preparation for the annual rummage sale. The sale will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 9 at the church, 7879 N. County Road 700W.

There will be a wide variety of items including small appliances, housewares, dishes, glassware, linens, tool, outdoor items, games and books. For most items, which are not priced, you make an offer on what you are willing to pay. All reasonable offers will be accepted.

This is the annual fundraising project of the women’s group, and proceeds go to support local missions such as the Angel Connection Food Pantry in McCordsville and also the worldwide missions of the Presbyterian Church.

Rummage sale set in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA — A rummage sale continues from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday (June 2) at Philadelphia United Methodist Church, 2265 W. U.S. 40, Greenfield. Lunch and bake sale items will also be available.

Church offers free family movie

GREENFIELD — Greater Grace Church will show “Wonder” from 6 to 8 p.m. June 9 at the church, 320 W. Walnut St.

Spaghetti dinner set in McCordsville

McCORDSVILLE — McCordsville United Methodist Church will serve a community dinner from 4:30 to 7 p.m. June 9 at the church, 6247 W. Broadway.

Dinner will have an Italian theme featuring spaghetti and other pasta dishes, garlic bread, salad bar and desserts. Donations will be accepted.

Electronics recycling set at Mt. Lebanon UMC

GREENFIELD — Dispose of unwanted household electronics at a recycling event.

Technology Recyclers will accept items from 8 a.m. to noon June 9 at Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church, 3447 S. State Road 9.

CRT monitors and tube TVs can be disposed of for $20 each.

For other items, the event is free, but donations will be accepted. Accepted items include computers, laptops, office copiers, speakers, VCRs, cables and wires, medical electronics, batteries, printers, fax machines, PDAs, DVD players, stereos, cell phones, microwaves and game systems.

Singer to share music at Curry’s Chapel
