HANCOCK COUNTY — The Hancock County Public Library plans four shows featuring live animals and ‘funologist’ Amazon John. Those who attend the free event can meet furry, feathered, scaly and weird creatures. After the show, the audience can pet the animals and take pictures with them.

Silly Safari events will be held from 12 to 1 p.m. and 2 to 3 p.m. June 11 at the Hancock County Public Library in New Palestine, 5087 U.S. 52. The library will offer events from 4 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 8 p.m. June 11 at the central library, 900 W. McKenzie Road, Greenfield.

This free, family event is co-sponsored by the Friends of the Hancock County Public Library through the sale of donated books, DVDs and CDs.

For events at the New Palestine branch, pick up limited, free tickets at the children’s desk 20 minutes before show time. For the Greenfield events, sign up at hcplibrary.org or call 317-462-5141, ext. 238.
