GREENFIELD — A local father who police say sent text messages to a court-appointed volunteer, threatening to cook and eat her, has turned himself in.

Ryan Luker, 43, was charged at the end of March with two Level 6 felony counts of intimidation. Police have been searching for him ever since, officials said.

Luker reportedly turned himself into law enforcement Wednesday night and was booked into the Hancock County Jail. He was being held on a $2,000 cash bond at press time.

Luker told a court-appointed volunteer in a text that he was a cannibal and would cook and eat her if she failed his children, according to court documents. He also reportedly sent aggressively-worded notes to the caseworkers from the Indiana Department of Child Services.
