GREENFIELD — Design firm RQAW submitted its final schematic design of the proposed Hancock County criminal justice campus during a county commissioners meeting Tuesday. The design details the new jail building as far as floor layout and external appearance.
The commissioners approved a motion to accept the design and recommended the county council approve the next step as laid out in the county’s contract with RQAW. The next step would be more in-depth construction designs as the county prepares for full-scale construction. This next step would cost the county $1.4 million, according to RQAW.
RQAW officials said they would be available to answer any questions the council might have at the county budget meeting on June 6. The next county council meeting is scheduled for June 13.
