To the editor:
This letter is in reference to the comment from one of the candidates for recorder for the 2018 primary election. Ms. Moore states that she wants to increase the efficiency of the office. I am in the recorder’s office often and find that the work being done by the current recorder, Debra Carnes, and her staff is extremely efficient. The staff is digitizing microfilm in house, saving money and providing much easier access for retrieval on a daily basis. Documents are being returned within three days of recording when it once took more than a month. I am hopeful, whomever the next recorder is, that they will maintain the same processes that are implemented now.
