4-H Club plans for county fair

GREENFIELD — The Country Kritters 4-H club met April 17 at the fairgrounds sheep barn with Caitlyn Cox presenting. Eli Manship led the Pledge of Allegiance and Jada Mauer led the 4-H pledge. For Health and Safety, Katelyn Delk, did pocket knife safety.

Members discussed service projects for future meetings such as money and snacks for cancer patients or money for transportation for cancer patients.

They also discussed set-up at the Tri Kappa donut stand at the Hancock County 4-H Fair.

The next meeting is May 15 at the hospital, followed by a June 5 meeting. The club got pizza donated for the meeting from the cancer event that club members had volunteered at previously.

There were many demonstrations April 17. Heidi Meyer did her science fair project on freezing hot water, Nora Meyer did her science fair project on where to store bananas, Elijah Edon and Eli Manship did an experiment on whether all Skittles candies taste the same, Conner Wittgren demonstrated how to fold a flag, Jada Mauer showed how to draw a dog, Zoe Grace Fellerman taught about plant care, Aliza Fellerman demonstrated how to feed a cat, Caitlyn Cox gave a speech on her life with cows, and Jordyn Wicker gave an FFA speech.
