Protesting alone won’t change the laws

To the editor:

This is to the young protesters who are protesting gun control. There is only one way to get laws changed. This is the way. Get your minds off drugs and alcohol first. Then study law and the Constitution to see how you can change the law. If any of the state lawmakers or Congress won’t change the laws, then run against them. If you are elected, then you can see about getting these laws changed. You can protest all you want, but you will get little done doing this. The National Rifle Association has great influence with state lawmakers and Congress.

I am for the Second Amendment, but I think rifles made for mass destruction should be outlawed. They are not built to hunt with, but to kill as many people as possible.

So, young people, are you up to doing this? If not, then quit protesting.

I know I will get a lot of negative responses to this letter. I believe the lives of young people are worth it to write this. The people who will be negative, I think your life and your families are worth this.
