Why are you running for office?

I feel that it is my time to serve Hancock County, and (the) county would benefit from my experience and knowledge. I have the ability to carry out the many duties that are associated to our office and are required to perform. Growing up, raising a family and living in Hancock County nearly all my life, I would love the opportunity to give back.

What makes you a qualified candidate for the position?

My experience in the private sector consists of: Effectively planning, managing and auditing budgets and sales forecasting for larger business plans. Along with auditing accounts, filing claims and submitting monthly reports, I also have hiring, schedule management, training, personal development and office oversight of all business aspects. I recognize with the transition from the private sector to a government office that there are numerous resources to assist in that transition.

What are your top three goals for the position?

1. To make sure the taxpayers have the best positive experience when dealing with county government.

2. To scrutinize every claim voucher to make sure that our taxpayer dollars are spent exactly as intended by law.

3. To make sure everyone employed by the auditor’s office is properly cross-trained and that there is a positive work environment where team building is incorporated.
