Parks and Recreation combines art, nature

GREENFIELD — Registration is ongoing for Greenfield Parks & Recreation’s Nature & Art Workshops. The workshops include a session with Thornwood Preserve naturalist Joe Whitfield, followed by art with Melanie Richwine. The first session is from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. March 7 at the Patricia Elmore Center art studio, 280 N. Apple. Registration is $8 for residents and $10 for non-residents and includes all supplies. Future sessions are April 4 (Pollinators: Busy Bee Gardens) and May 2 (Butterfly Fantasia). Register to attend at greenfieldin.org/parks.

Cabinet painting class can change look of kitchen

FORTVILLE — Best of What’s Around, a vintage furniture store located at 230 S. Main St., will offer a cabinet painting class from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday. The class includes preparation, painting and sealing kitchen cabinets. The $79 registration fee includes a take-home book of instructions and tips. Make-up classes ongoing at Hometown Comics

GREENFIELD — The second in a series of Costume and Creation classes at Hometown Comics, 1506 N. State St., “Intro to Mehron Crème Make-up” will instruct participants in the selection and application of stage make-up for costume play events.
