An evening of one-acts is an evening of laughs

GREENFIELD — Greenfield-Central High School theater troupe presents “A Night of One Acts,” Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. in the auditorium at Greenfield-Central High School, 810 N. Broadway St. The four student-directed comedies are: “From the Mouth of Babes,” “When God Comes to Dinner, Don’t Burn the Toast,” “Just Desserts” and “Superhero Sanatorium.” Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for seniors and children under 12 available at the door.

It’s a dog’s life in ‘Sylvia’ at Mud Creek Barn

Mother-daughter dynamic explored in ‘The Rink’

INDIANAPOLIS — The Buck Creek Players present “The Rink,” a musical from the creators of “Chicago” and “Cabaret,” through Feb. 11 at the Buck Creek Playhouse, 11150 Southeastern Ave. A roller rink owned by Anna Antonelli (played by Georgeanna Teipen) is about to be demolished, and with it, her sour memories of her husband and painfully shy daughter Angel (played by Miranda Nehrig). The rink becomes the arena for mother and daughter to examine their journey through the past and plan for the future.
