Ten West Center hosts art nights

FORTVILLE – Ten West Center for the Arts, 10 W. Church St., opens its doors to artists from 4 to 9 p.m. every Tuesday evening. Attendees are assisted by members of Willing Hands Designs Fine Arts Studio to create their own paintings. Art studio teaches calligraphy class

GREENFIELD – Learn calligraphy from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Feb. 14 at the Indie Art Studio, 2 W. Main St. The class is open to anyone interested in learning about pointed pen calligraphy. Instruction will cover the tools involved in pointed pen calligraphy (nibs, holders, ink), common styles, basic skills and strokes used. The $40 registration includes a basic pen holder and nib. Auditions planned for ‘Dogfight’

INDIANAPOLIS – The Buck Creek Players will hold auditions for the musical “Dogfight” at 7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at the Buck Creek Playhouse, 11150 Southeastern Ave. The directors are looking for a diverse group of seven men and four women, plus a small ensemble. “Dogfight” depicts three young men on a boys’ night out before their deployment to Vietnam.
