NEW PALESTINE
Gladys Wanda (Howell) Judy, 87, of New Palestine, passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2017. Born on March 14, 1930 in Carrollton, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Fred and Gladys W. (Howell) Howell.
She graduated from Carrollton High School. Wanda married Wesley Judy on April 16, 1949 in Cincinnati, Ohio.
She was the Director of Food Service for Southern Hancock County School Corporation for 20 years before retiring and was a member of Hancock Reformed Baptist Church in Greenfield. Wanda loved her family, cooking, and her church.
Her survivors include her husband, Wesley Judy, of New Palestine; sons, Gary D. (Maryann) Judy of Easton, Maryland, Ron W. Judy of Greenfield, Mark S. (Beth) Judy of Greenfield, and Dennis R. (Kathryn) Judy of New Palestine; daughter, Denise R. (Guy) Stricker of New Palestine; brothers, Virgil Howell of Milroy, Indiana and Jack Howell of Dayton, Ohio; sisters, Louise Smoot of Frankfort, Kentucky and Jobelle Schweitzer of Greenfield; 11 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
Her parents and six brothers and sisters proceeded her in death.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 14, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory in Greenfield. Funeral services will be on Friday, December 15, at 11:00 a.m. at Hancock Reformed Baptist Church, 944 E. Davis Road, Greenfield. Pastor Wayne Scott will officiate. Burial will follow at New Palestine Cemetery in New Palestine.
