Bluegrass group to perform at church

KNIGHTSTOWN — Russell Van Winkle and Friends will play bluegrass gospel music during the monthly gospel sing at 6 p.m. today at Knightstown Church of God, 405 North St., Knightstown.

Thanksgiving soup supper, service set

NEW PALESTINE — New Palestine Fellowship of Churches will meet soup and fellowship at 6 p.m. Sunday at New Palestine United Church (His Place), 15 E. Main St.

Everyone is welcome, regardless of where (or if) they attend church.

A service begins at 7 p.m.

Feast of Plenty set at county fairgrounds

GREENFIELD — The Lisa Muegge Feast of Plenty Community Outreach is set for 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday at the Hancock County 4-H Fairgrounds.

Since 2005, the event has served thousands of meals, both to diners at the fairgrounds and through deliveries by volunteers. It’s also offered take-home groceries to people in need.

Thanksgiving meal will be served in Fortville

FORTVILLE — Gateway Community will serve a free Thanksgiving turkey meal from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday in Friendship Hall inside Fortville United Methodist Church, 125 E. Staat St.

The building is accessible to people with disabilities at Door 5 on the west side of the building.

Church plans to ‘Revive America’

FORTVILLE — Fortville Church of the Nazarene plans to “Revive America” with a service featuring southern gospel music by The Guardians and a message by Dr. Stan Toler.

The event is set for 6 p.m. Sunday.

There is no charge, but a love offering will be accepted for the ministry of The Guardians.

Toler is an international speaker, bestselling author and teacher. He has spoken in 80 countries and shared the stage with Zig Ziglar, Jerry Lucas, Rick Warren, Bill Hybels and Cy Young Award winner R.A. Dickey.

The church is located at 701 S. Maple St., Fortville.
