INDIANAPOLIS — Mt. Vernon High School was among 33 bands that participated in a competition Saturday for a chance to perform at Lucas Oil Stadium.
Mt. Vernon was chosen to participate in the weekend’s competition after a successful season and receiving a Gold Rating at the Scholastic Class Prelims conducted earlier this month.
Band of Marauders finished in the top 10 at the Indiana State School Music Association’s
Scholastic Class A Finals at Lawrence Central High School over the weekend. Only the top five bands were selected to perform during the ISSMA state competition Nov. 4.
