Rosalie Apple, 94, of McCordsville, passed away Tuesday, September 5, 2017 in Greenfield. She was born August 26, 1923 in Hume, IL. Rosalie was a member of the McCordsville United Methodist Church and a seventy-five-year member of the Eden Eastern Star #101. She retired after thirty years of service as Head of Personnel records for Naval Avionics Facility. She loved taking care of her home, church activities, visiting with friends, playing golf, doing crafts, planting flowers, and above all, her family.

She is survived Nancy(Darrell) Thomas and Janice Petty Slunaker, who were blessed to call her Mother, four grandchildren: Natalie (Mark) Huber, Curt (Tish) Petty, Shannon (Colin) Curvey, Erin (Jason) Holyfield, and thirteen great grandchildren: Randall, Darcie, and Jarrett Huber; Hannah and Quinn Petty; Dakota, Colton, Cassidy and Canyon Thomas; Ciaran and Liam Curvey; Kaylee and Kaidan Holyfield; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Ray Willis Apple; parents Amiel August Witt and Mary Etta (Burns) Witt; three brothers: Vernon, Orville, and Roscoe Witt; three sisters: Beulah Umbarger, Meryl Fulton, Fern Waltz; and grandson, Darren Scott Thomas.

Visitation will take place at Seals Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Fortville on Saturday, September 9th, from 10:30am until 12:30pm, with the funeral immediately following at 12:30pm. Interment will take place at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville.
