Friends of library conducting book sale

GREENFIELD — The Friends of the Hancock County Public Library will conduct the gently used book sale Aug. 10 to 14 at the main branch, 900 W. McKenzie Road.

Members of the Friends may shop the preview sale from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Aug. 10. Walk-ins can join the organization for $15 and shop the preview that night by picking up a membership form at the library.

The sale opens to the public 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Aug. 11; 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Aug. 12; and 1 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. Aug. 13. Most items will cost between 25 cents and $1.

Bargain day is 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Aug. 14. A paper grocery bag full of books sells for $3 and a plastic grocery bag sells for $2.

Proceeds fund free concerts and children’s special events.
