Richard A. Ogan

Richard A. Ogan, 74, formerly of Connersville, Ind., passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2017, at his residence in Pensacola, Fla. Born on July 12, 1942, in Dayton, Ohio, and is the son of Dale and Beulah Ogan.

On December 3, 1966, he married Hilda Norris in Connersville, and they were able to enjoy 50 years together. He served with the Air Force for four years. He was a member of Olive Baptist Church in Pensacola and the Christian Motorcycle Association in Indianapolis. For a short time he worked as a police officer in Connersville. He retired as a transport driver from Marathon Oil in Speedway, Ind. Richard loved to travel, go camping, and ride his motorcycle.

Along with his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Jamie (Gary) Naylor, of Connersville, and Tammy (Eric) Grubbs, of Spring Hill, Tenn.; a son, Richard (Karen) Ogan, of Fishers; a sister, Faye Ann Hilbert, of Pensacola; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Michael Ogan; two sisters, Lilly Hollaway, and Betty Louise Kuntz, and a grandson, Justin Naylor.

Services for Richard will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, July 14, at Urban-Winkler Funeral Home, Connersville, with Pastor Jim Matson officiating. Burial will graveside military honors follow at Dale Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
