‘The Hunchback of Notre Dame’ slated

INDIANAPOLIS — “The Hunchback of Notre Dame” opens Friday and plays through July 9 at the Marian University Theatre, 3200 Cold Spring Road. Based on the novel by Victor Hugo, this production marks the Indiana premiere of the Disney musical of the disfigured hunchback who haunts the bell tower of the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris. The recluse falls in love with a gypsy girl being persecuted by the officials of the very church who took him in as an infant. Tickets, priced at $25, are available online at bobdirex.com.

‘Bonnie and Clyde’ shoot way to the stageINDIANAPOLIS – Two of America’s most notorious bank robbers are immortalized in the musical “Bonnie and Clyde” through June 25 on stage at the Buck Creek Playhouse, 11150 Southeastern Ave. Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow capture the imagination of the country with their daring antics. On the run from the law, the lovers resort to robbery and murder to survive until their well-known and inevitable end plays out. The show is directed by Scott Robinson and features Hancock County resident Scott Fleshood and New Palestine High School teacher Nicholas Mitchaner in the cast.
