Gary D. Rott

Gary D. Rott, 67, of Indianapolis passed away May 2, 2017. He was born September 20, 1949, in Indianapolis to the late Charles Wm. and Betty L. Sering Rott.

Gary graduated from Arsenal Technical High School in 1967, and served his country in the Army. He worked for Marsh Supermarkets and Village Pantry as a District Manager and most recently, as a FedEx Ground Contractor. Gary was a member of International Order of DeMolay, Keystone Masonic Lodge 251 F&AM, Scottish Rite, Keystone Chapter OES 240.

Gary is survived by his loving partner, Pam Vaughn; children, Brandi L. Thompson (Bill), Charles P. Rott, II. (Josephine); sister, Cathy Nuzum (Mike), grandchildren, Gary Tyler Thompson, Ruby Thompson, Charles Paul Rott, III, Sean Rott, and Seralin Rott; and other close family members.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Jacob A. Thompson; and his brother, Charles Jerry Rott.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, May 5, at Shirley Brothers Thompson Road Chapel, 3333 E. Thompson Rd. with a Masonic service at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Saturday. Entombment will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery next to Linda S. Rott.
