CHARLOTTESVILLE — Eastern Hancock’s basketball team dropped a three-point contest to Morristown on Friday at home.

Down by 11 points at halftime, the Royals worked their way back and cut the deficit to four, 62-58, with under two minutes to play in the fourth quarter. However, a three attempt by Eastern Hancock junior Tyler Blattner would fall just short at the buzzer as the Royals lost 67-64.

Junior Addison True led Eastern Hancock with 29 points, while Hayden Langkabel scored a game-high 39 points for Morristown.

True, who is averaging a career-high 17 points per game this season, is now 11 points shy of 1,000 for his career.

The Yellow Jackets led 14-11 at the end of the first quarter. Duncan Cherry had six points on two threes in the opening period for the Royals, who fall to 12-8 this season.
