FORTVILLE — A former Mt. Vernon Schools teacher’s aide admitted in court Monday to having sexual relationships with at least two of the district’s students.
Kisha Nuckols, 38, pleaded guilty to one Level 5 felony count of child seduction Monday in Hancock Circuit Court. A judge ordered she serve two years in Hancock County Community Corrections and two years on probation while attending therapy and counseling.
Nuckols will register as a sex offender for 10 years, officials said.
Prosecutors filed charges earlier this year after two teens told police they met Nuckols outside of school for sex on separate occasions, court records state.
Nuckols had been employed with the school district for about three years, working as a teacher’s aide at Mt. Vernon Middle School, a substitute at Mt. Vernon High School and lifeguard, police said.
