GREENFIELD — A mobile Veterans Administration center will be stationed near the Hancock County Sheriff’s Department during the Riley Festival, Oct. 6 to 9.
These customized vehicles — which are equipped with confidential counseling spaces — travel to communities to extend the Veterans Administration’s reach to veterans, service members and their families, especially those living in rural or remote communities. The vehicles also serve as part of the VA emergency response program.
The mobile center was added to Indianapolis’ VA center last year along with 19 other locations.
