Pendleton Heights (1-2) at Greenfield-Central (2-1)

COACHES: Jed Richman, 1-2 in first year at Pendleton Heights, 36-32 in seventh year overall. Adam Sherman, 2-1 in first year at Greenfield-Central.

SAGARIN RATINGS: Greenfield-Central, 46.39, 151st overall, 39th in Class 4A. Pendleton Heights, 39.8, 183rd overall, 46th in Class 4A.

MOST RECENT OUTING: Pendleton Heights lost to New Castle, 15-14. Greenfield-Central lost to Mount Vernon (Fortville), 27-10.

SERIES PAST 30 YEARS: Pendleton Heights, 21-10.

NOTES: After an impressive 2-0 start, Greenfield-Central fell 27-10 last week to rival Mt. Vernon … Spencer Hert has thrown for 267 yards and two touchdowns this season in his first year starting under center … The running back tandem of Michael Sosnowski and Skylar Gary was slightly contained last week against a stout Marauders defense … The senior duo has 718 yards and nine scores between them this season but only managed 127 yards combined last week … Cougars’ speedster Orlando Mojica adds a threat on the outside and has 144 receiving yards and 113 rushing yards … Defensively, Bryce Ratliff and Andrew Leslie lead Greenfield-Central with 22 tackles each… Both also have an interception this year … Pendleton Heights entered the poll this week at No. 14 in Class 4A … The Arabians were edged by HHC foe New Castle, 15-14, in the first week of conference play… Pendleton Heights starting quarterback Christian Conkling, a sophomore, has 292 passing yards this season and four touchdowns … Four different receivers have at least 60 receiving yards with sophomore Tristan Spinks leading the team with 89 … Senior Payton Huth carries a majority of the load in the backfield for the Arabians… He has 383 yards and three touchdowns this season … Corbin Cox in another ground threat as he has 117 yards on seven carries … Pendleton Heights leads the overall series with Greenfield-Central 21-10 over the last 30 years and won 31-24 last year.
