Workshop offered on bookbinding

GREENFIELD – Artist Joan Webb will present two book binding workshops. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 21, a long stitch bookbinding workshop will be offered and Aug. 28 will be a Japanese stab binding workshop.

Workshops will be at the Creative Arts and Event Center, 2 W. Main St. Space is limited to six participants. Registration deadline for the first workshop is Aug. 18.

Ten West to audition for ‘Hee Haw’ tribute

FORTVILLE – Ten West Center for the Arts, 10 W. Church St., will conduct auditions for a “Hee Haw” tribute show Aug. 17 and 18.

“Hee Haw” was a television variety program that aired from 1969 to 1971 and then spent 21 years in local syndication. It featured country music and rural humor. For more information, call 317-403-0323.

Common Threads quilting group to meet

GREENFIELD — Common Threads Quilt Guild Inc. will meet from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Aug. 17, at Mt. Comfort United Methodist Church, 3179 N. County Road 600W.

The featured speaker is Marie Stephens from Crazy Lady Quilt Shop in Monticello, who will present a program on “Three Dimensional Piecing” using folded fabric squares.
