Emerald S. “Buck” Everhart, 96, Morristown, died Tuesday, July 12, 2016, at his residence. He was born August 13, 1919, the son of Elisha Waters and Sabina “Bina” (Stewart) Everhart.
Buck is survived by his wife of 69 years, Mary L. Everhart daughter, Deloris “Dee” (Marshall) Evilsizer of Castle Rock, Colo.; sons, William D. (Carolyn) Everhart of Norman, Ind., Elisha M. Everhart of Tipp City, Ohio, and Michael R. (Janet) Everhart of Morristown; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Ernest F. Everhart, Virgil Everhart, Floyd Everhart and Marvin Everhart; sisters, Elsie I. Everhart, Eliza Engleking , Oleta L. Everhart, Ersa Lowery, Pauline Peacock and Avonelle Everhart; and a grandson, Steven Evilsizer .
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, July 15, at Brookville Road Community Church, 7480 US-52, New Palestine, and from 9 to 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 16, at the church. Funeral services and a Celebration of Life will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church. Interment will be at Asbury Cemetery in Morristown, with military graveside rites. Services have been entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 124 E. North St. in Morristown.
