Hazel F. Mooney, 92, Greenfield, died on Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at her home. She was born on March 1, 1924, in Ruthven, Iowa, as the daughter of R. Dale and Edith M. (Clark) Brott.
Hazel is survived by her son, Norman (Ilze) Mooney of Martinsville; daughters, Joyce (David) Hodges of Indianapolis, Marlys (Mike) Shields of Bloomington, Susan (Larry) Kendrick of Indianapolis, Aleta (Andrew) Frye of Rogers, Arkansas and Beth (Curtis) Benninghoff of Midland, Texas; seventeen grandchildren; and nineteen great-grandchildren.
Hazel is preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Edith Brott; husband, D. Douglas Mooney; daughter, Paula Phillips; and five siblings.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, June 27, at Christian Tabernacle Church, 802 S Franklin Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46239. A funeral service will immediately follow at 1 p.m. at Christian Tabernacle. Reverend Kent Jordan and Reverend Paul Mooney will be officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
