Verla M. Davis, 97, of Greenfield passed away Sunday, May 29, 2016, at Springhurst Healthcare, Greenfield. Verla was born Novem-ber 21, 1918, in Greenfield to the late Martin Fay Samuels and Gertrude (Gambrel) Samuels-Warrum.
Verla was a long-time Greenfield resident, a member of the First Presbyterian Church. She worked in the business office at Hancock Memorial Hospital for several years and retired from the Finance Center at Fort Harrison in 1985.
She is survived by daughters, Karen (Dave) Huffman of Greenfield, Linda (Bud) Wall of Kokomo; grandchildren, Kelly (Chris) Roberts, Candi (Dave Bush) Dicken, Lisa Nelson, Shelly (Jason) Massey; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her parents listed above; one brother; and three stepbrothers.
Friends may call 1 to 3 p.m., Friday, June 3, 2016 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, 1780 W. Main, Greenfield, IN 46140. Services will follow at 3 p.m. with burial immediately following at Park Cemetery.
