INDIANAPOLIS — David Wheeler, of Fountaintown, an accounting and finance major, received the J. Dwight Peterson Key Award. This award is given to the top undergraduate student in the Indiana University Kelley School of Business. Wheeler was also in the IUPUI Honors College & Kelley Honors Program.

The Kelley School of Business Indianapolis Outstanding Student Awards are awarded each May prior to the annual commencement ceremony. The J. Dwight Peterson Key Award was first awarded in 1988. It is the most esteemed honor for a Kelley Indianapolis graduate. It’s given to an outstanding senior every year, based on scholarship, activities, leadership, and character.

Once all of the applications are received, the Kelley Faculty Awards Committee reviews the candidates and selects the student who has demonstrated excellence and leadership inside and outside of the classroom.
