William Harrison “Bill” Hurley, 76, of Fairland, died Sunday, April 10, 2016, at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield. He was born December 13, 1939, in Olin, Ky,, the son of Amos and Susie (Price) Hurley.
Bill is survived by his wife of 54 years, Phyllis Jean Anderson; his son, Robert Hurley, Sr. of Greenfield; brother, Edward Hurley of Shelbyville; sister, Marie Bastin of Shelbyville; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Tammy Lynette Israel; brothers, Hobert Hurley and Russell Hurley; sisters, Lillie Whittle and Sharon Jenkins.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 14, 2016, at the funeral home, with Pastor Fred Brown officiating. Interment will be at Boggstown Cemetery in Boggstown.
