Martha J. Wyatt, 82, formerly of Knightstown passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2016, at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield. She was born October 8, 1933, in Knightstown to the late Noah and Harriet (Morrison) Moore.
A homemaker, Martha was a member of the Knightstown United Methodist Church and the Knightstown Public Library. Some of her favorite activities included reading and walks to the Academy building with her dog, Bailey. Prior to the passing of her husband, Caley in 2003, they enjoyed traveling and just spending time together. A good day for Martha included Jacks doughnut holes and an ice cold Coke. Martha especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and attending their sporting events.
Survivors include six children, Carol (Denny) Davis of New Castle, Brenda (Bill) Smythe of Fishers, David Wyatt and Anna Wyatt, both of Knightstown, Carrie Conard of Madison and Randy (Kristi) Wyatt of Carthage; eleven grandchildren, Dana Davis-
Stensrud (Eric), Billy, Andrew and Kyle (Kelli) Smythe, Cassie Patrick, Ethan (Emily) Cook, Leslie Cook, Erin Wyatt, Miranda and Jacob Conard and Caleb Wyatt; four great-grandchildren, Ryan Della, Catamarie, Dylan and Ezra; special friend, Sue Lawrence of Knightstown; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Martha was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Suzanne Wyatt.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 8, 2016, at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, Knightstown Chapel. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 9th, at the funeral home with Pastor Tobby Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery, Knightstown.
