GREENFIELD — Greenfield officials recently approved the purchase of a nearly $230,000 bucket truck for the power and light department.
This week, the Greenfield Board of Public Works and Safety approved the purchase of the truck from Altec. The city will trade in another vehicle for $4,500, which brought down the price of the new truck from about $229,200 to $224,700.
Because Altec specializes in equipment and vehicles for electric utilities, there’s a wait list for the truck. City officials said they don’t expect it to be delivered until later this year.
