Peggy A. Bates, 83, of Greenfield, passed away Monday, Sept. 28, 2015, at Legacy at Springhurst. She was born March 16, 1932, in Mount Vernon, Ark., to the late Farris O. and Adelle (Cooper) Fulmer.
She enjoyed camping, fishing and was an adventurous traveler camping in the Alaska wilderness. Peggy and her husband Edward were owners of E & P Custom Home Builders and also owned Hoosier Bass Inn in Moore Haven, Florida.
Peggy is survived by her son, Thomas Greenslade of Greenfield; brother, Bill Fulmer; sisters, Barb Brewer, Betty Stapert, Tommie Gayler, Jo Holmes all of Heber Springs, Ark.; granddaughter, Kiley (Brandon) Cooper and great- grandsons, Grayson and Dawsyn Cooper.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward Bates and son, Jimmy E. Greenslade.
Friends may call 12:30 – 2:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 1, 2015, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, IN 46140. Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home will burial immediately following at Washington Park East Cemetery, Indianapolis.
