Evelyn J. (Biddle) Selvidge, 86, of Greenfield, passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2015, at her residence. She was born Oct. 28, 1928, in New Palestine, as the daughter of Eldo Biddle and Mildred L. (Blackford) Leary. Evelyn married James E. Selvidge on June 16, 1963, in New Castle.
She worked for Greenfield Central Schools for over 15 years and for Western Electric for 10 plus years.
Evelyn is survived by her children, Donna (Pat) Harrington of Greenfield, Darrell “D.B” (Sandy) Bowman of Charlottesville, Dennis (Ruby) Bowman of Greenfield, Bryan Selvidge of Brownsburg and Brent Selvidge of Indianapolis; nine grandchildren, Chris, Lisa, Robbie, Darren, Sara, Emily, Chelsea, Alicia, and Jordan; 11 great- grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eldo Biddle and Mildred L. (Blackford) Leary; first husband, Marshall Bowman; second husband, James Selvidge and step-daughter, Pam Selvidge.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
