Robert Wayne Rasmussen , 74, of Greenfield, passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2015, at Seton Specialty Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born on June 22, 1940, to the late Robert and Nadine (Tourtellot) Rasmussen.
Robert was a graduate of Broad Ripple HS and then joined the Marines. He also served in the Army Reserve and retired from the National Guard.
Robert was in skilled trades at General Motors and retired in 1992. He was a member of Cumberland Christian Church.
Robert is survived by his two children from his first marriage, Angela and Brian Rasmussen. He married Twilla (Wheeler) Gilmore in 1976 and had stepchildren, Mark Gilmore and Shari (Gilmore) Jenkins; four grandchildren; seven great- grandchildren; niece, Julie Hahn Ellis and Michael Hahn.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Natalie Hahn.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at Memorial Park Cemetery.
