David W. Rehfuss, 86, of Morristown, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2015. He was born on Jan. 27, 1929, in New Castle to Harold C. and Thelma C. (Burke) Rehfuss. He served as a Staff Sergeant in the Air Force as a Hydrolic specialist from 1951-1955.
He retired from Western Electric. He also worked at Lawrence Auto as a service writer, Holt's Garage in Greenfield as a mechanic, David's Lawn Mower Service, Padgett Chevorlet, John Deere and worked for the Town of Morristown.
He loved riding his Honda Goldwing and spending time with his cat, Bootsie Marie. He loved tinkering on anything with an engine or woodworking in his garage.
He is survived by wife, Inice (Foster) Rehfuss, of Morristown, whom he married in May of 1977; daughters, Jeanie (Jeff) East of Ariz., Melissa (David) Tomlinson of Anderson, Melanie "Mel" (Denny) Cotterman of Greenfield; and a son; stepdaughter, Dea Stevenson of Morristown, Trina (Charles) Moore of Rushville; stepson, Eddie (Laura) Thompson of Ingalls; grandchildren, Laurisa Short, Casey Short, Billie Fyfe Ellis, Brett Fyfe, Jed Cotterman and Kohlby Cotterman; stepgrandchildren, Jon Thompson, Amy Thompson, Camerie Barrera, Zachariah Stevenson, Charles Moore, Destiny Fortunato, Wendy Moore; 11 great- grandchildren; 9 stepgreat-grandchildren and a sister, Roseanne Swanson of Wilmette, Ill.
Preceded in death by parents; brother, Donald Rehfuss.
No service will be held. Services have been entrusted to Albertsons Crematory in Indianapolis.
