HANCOCK COUNTY – Sen. Dan Coats, R-Ind., recently congratulated Grant Williams of Greenfield on his acceptance into the United States Military Academy.
Coats nominated Williams, a senior at Mt. Vernon High School, for an appointment to West Point.
“There is no higher calling for an American citizen than to wear the uniform of the United States Armed Forces,” Coats said. “I congratulate Grant on this distinguished honor and believe his talents and abilities will make him an outstanding cadet. I look forward to hearing of his continued success.”
Williams is a varsity member of Mt. Vernon High School’s tennis team and a participant in the Indiana State General Assembly Senate Page Program.
