Leonard A. Shively, 91, of Greenfield, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2015. He was born Nov. 20, 1923, in Whitley County, Ind., and he was the son of Jesse I. and Kathrine N. Shively.

He graduated from Greenfield High School and served as a Marine in the Pacific arena. Mr. Shively married Evelyn I. (Regansburg) Shively.

Leonard was self-employed as a milk hauler, working in the dairy business all his life. He was a member of Greenfield Christian Church and a 44-year member of the Greenfield Volunteer Fire Department.

He is survived by his children, Rickey (Patricia) Shively of Crawfordsville, Ronnie (Brenda) Shively, Rodger (Debra) Shively, Rodney Shively, and Jeannie Shively, all of Greenfield; eight grandchildren and nine great- grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents; wife; and brothers, Gerald, Edward, Franklin, Bob, and Dick Shively.

Visitation will be held from Noon until 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 2, 2015, at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 West US 40, Greenfield. A funeral service will follow immediately at 1 p.m. at the mortuary. Chaplain Russ Jarvis will be officiating. Burial will occur at a later date at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
