Reggie M. Hammer, 84, of Beech Grove, passed away Monday, March 9, 2015, at Hancock Regional Hospice. He was born on Aug. 30, 1930, in Tompkinsville, Kentucky, as the son of William H. and Locie M. (Page) Hammer.
Reggie is survived by his wife, Dean Hammer of Beech Grove; daughter Charlotte (Mike) Shull of Greenfield; brothers Harlie Hammer of Beech Grove and Leon Hammer of Glasgow, Kentucky; and sister Evelyn Bowls of Louisville; and all their families.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William H. and Locie M. (Page) Hammer; granddaughter Tiffany Shull; and siblings Samuel, James, Dennis “Clyde”, Reed, and Truman.
Visitation will be held from 4 until 8 p.m. on Friday, March 13, 2015, at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. U.S. 40, Greenfield, IN, 46140. A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2015. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
