Eleanor Mae (Richey) Reed, 90, of Greenfield, passed away Sunday, Feb. 15, 2015, at Hancock Regional Hospital. She was born on May 1, 1924, in Greenfield as the daughter of Omer and Anna M. (Swanson) Richey.
She married Raymond L. Reed on Sept. 30, 1940, in Greenfield.
She worked for Indiana Knitwear in Greenfield for over 12 years. Mrs. Reed attended South Street Methodist and then later attended Trinity Park United Methodist Church. She loved traveling and collecting lamps.
Eleanor is survived by her four sons Wayne (Sandy) Reed of Greenfield, Roger (Deborah) Reed of Greenfield, John Reed of Indianapolis, and Brian (Joyce Elliott) Reed of Greenfield; eight grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Omer and Anna M. (Swanson) Richey; husband Raymond L. Reed; grandson Roger Che Reed; and siblings Edith, Bob, Doris, and Peggy.
Services are to be private.
