Ruth Irene Baker, 81, of New Castle died Feb. 7, 2015, at her residence following an extended illness. She was born on Nov. 7, 1933, in Wells County, Indiana to the late Ross Oberon and Eva Myrtle (Burson) Dick.
Ruth is survived by her husband of 60 years, Willard W. “Bill” Baker of New Castle; son, Mark (Melanie) Baker of New Castle; daughter, Kimberly S. Baker Ondras of New Castle; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Ross Dick Jr. of Columbia City; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Ruth is preceded in death by a son, Del Alan Baker; one grandson; siblings, Maxwell Dick, Hilda Dewees, Zola June France, Lenora Susan Dick, Richard Omega Dick and Robert Dick.
Friends may call from 3 p.m. until the time of service on Thursday at the funeral home. Services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, 2015, at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Rev. C J Buskirk officiating. A private burial at Gardens of Memory in Muncie will be at the convenience of the family.
