GREENFIELD — Democrat Michael Tucker has filed to run for Greenfield City Council District 1.
Tucker is the only Democrat to file so far for the municipal primary election. He ran unsuccessfully in 2014 for a county council seat. Should no one else file for the seat, Tucker will face incumbent Republican Gary McDaniel in the fall general election.
The deadline to file for a city or town seat is noon Friday. For more information, visit the Hancock County Election Office on the second floor of the courthouse or call 477-1171.
