Nellie B. Davis, 86, of Ingalls, passed away Monday, Jan. 12, 2015, at Hancock Memorial Hospital in Greenfield. She was born Dec. 2, 1928, in Shelby, Ohio, to the late Isaac and Ella Mae (Wallace) Jones.
Nellie was a self-employed seamstress and homemaker. She enjoyed camping, fishing, sewing, country dancing and spending time with her family.
Nellie is survived by her daughters, Debbie (Tommie) Wise of Lewisville and Rhonda Morton of Anderson; sons, Eddie (Donna) Davis of Greenfield, Kevin (Mike Moore) Davis of Indianapolis, and Kent (Tonya) Davis of Fortville; sister, Brenda (Don) Gibbs of Sheridan; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilfred E. Davis; sister, Hilda Brown; and brothers, Charles “Charky” and Freddie Jones.
Friends may visit from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 15, 2015, at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 16, 2015, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mendon Cemetery, Pendleton.
