Erma J. Bridwell, 93, of Greenfield, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 8, 2015. She was born Aug. 28, 1921, in Bedford, Ind., the daughter of the late Crook and Rose Love.
Erma was a member of First Church of God in Bedford, Ind. She enjoyed gardening, playing games, singing and dancing. She was an avid Indiana University fan.
Erma is survived by her three daughters, Shirley Steward and her husband Gabby of Greenfield, Sandra Quinn and her husband Conrad of Ft. Myers, Fla., and Carol Freeman-Knapp and her husband Scott of Bloomington, Ind.; 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and beloved family members.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Van Bridwell; a grandchild, a great-grandchild, a sister, and five brothers.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday prior to the funeral service from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2015, at Deremiah-Frye Mortuary Greene & Harrell Chapel, 700 West Gourley Pike in Bloomington, Ind. Interment will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens.
