Guy Clifton Belcher, 84, passed away Monday, April 21, at Kindred Care in Greenfield. Guy was born to the late Thaxton Sr. and Ida Novella (Barrows) Belcher on Dec. 12, 1929. He married Donna Mae (Morris) Belcher on June 11, 1949.
He spent many years as a carpenter at the state building and was a builder of commercial bridges before retiring in 1965. Guy was a homebody, he loved cowboy western shows and loved to tinker and could fix just about everything. For 17 years Guy and Donna, enjoyed selling vegetables on west US 40 at East Way Court and Gem Road.
Guy is survived by his daughters, Doris (Gary) Eastes, Shorty (Phil Fields) Blagg, Janet (Sam) Hall, and Diana (Jerry) Lawson; 15 grandchildren, 22 great- grandchildren, three great- great- grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Guy is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Donna; sons, Larry Belcher and Donald Belcher; four sisters and four brothers.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, April 24, 2014, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, 1780 W Main Street, Greenfield, Indiana. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, April 25,2014, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Park Cemetery, Greenfield.
